Searching for Photos

Have you ever attended a community event at the Yaninee Hall?
Any weddings, flower shows, balls, cabarets and other such parties?
Would you happen to have photographs from them? And could you help us?!
We are searching for any photos of the Yaninee Hall for a collection to display its’ colourful history. Sadly, there are very few documents and pictures currently available to exhibit, so if you have any photos that show the Yaninee Hall (inside and/or out) we would love to have a copy of them.
We can scan any relevant photos and also return them to you. For postal deliveries, please drop them off in an envelope marked “Yaninee Hall” along with your contact details to the Wudinna, Minnipa or Yaninee Post Offices. If you are able to scan them yourself, please email them to photos@yaninee.com.
It would be most appreciated if photos could also be accompanied with a brief description, the name and date of the event, and the names of people in the photo.

To tap in to the power of on-line social networking the Yaninee Hall is now on Facebook.
Through this network the Hall hopes to spread the news about it’s upcoming events and fundraisers as well as creating another space for all to keep in touch.

Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser

To help support the Cancer Council, the Hall will be hosting a Morning tea on May 20th 2010 from 10am.
Our goal is to raise $70, so please join us for cake and tea and assist with the fight against cancer.

The Annual General Meeting for Yaninee Hall Inc. will be held at the Hall on Tuesday the 27th April at 7:30pm.

A can of paint + a brush = A notice board

The Hall Noticeboard was christened today with it’s first notice.
Last Thursday the ugly piece of steel that is screwed in above the main doors was painted with chalkboard paint.
The Yaninee Tennis Club are congratulated for winning the championship this year, the noticeboard’s first announcement.
The current Bulb fundraising campaign also got a mention (more on this later)
It is hoped that this new town notice board will be updated once a week, listing events, information and results for the people of Yaninee to read.
